Purpose of this policy
AltusCars is designed to help Filipino buyers discover cars, help dealers publish and manage inventory, help agents assist buyers through application and availability workflows, and help admins keep the marketplace organized.
This policy sets minimum conduct, content, listing, data, communication, and enforcement standards for all users.
Listing quality standards
Every listing should be accurate, complete, and updated. Dealers should use clear photos, real vehicle videos where available, truthful specifications, current pricing, current status, and a location that reflects where the unit can reasonably be inspected or transacted.
- Do not list units you do not own, control, or have authorization to represent.
- Do not publish bait prices, placeholder prices, fake discounts, misleading flash-sale labels, or incomplete material details.
- Do not hide known major defects, legal/document concerns, prior status changes, or availability limitations.
- Do not reuse photos or videos from another car in a way that misleads buyers or agents.
Listing status and availability
Listing status must reflect the actual business state of the unit. Available units should be open for inquiry. Reserved units should be treated as limited or pending. Sold units should not be marketed as available.
Availability checks should be answered promptly and accurately. Repeated checks for the same unit may be grouped into one card or reminder to reduce duplicate work for dealers and admins.
Photos, videos, and social commerce feed
Media should represent the actual unit being offered. Social commerce videos and reels must not misrepresent a vehicle's condition, price, or availability, and should respect the privacy and consent of any person shown.
Buyer inquiries and application data
Buyer inquiries, schedules, reservations, and application details may be handled only for legitimate marketplace purposes. Do not share, sell, or misuse buyer data, and respond to inquiries honestly and promptly.
Agent standards
Agents must represent units and terms truthfully, disclose their role, and assist buyers without pressure, misrepresentation, or unauthorized fee collection.
Dealer standards
Dealers must keep inventory, pricing, and status current, honor the terms they publish, and cooperate with verification and moderation.
Admin and CRM standards
Admins must use dashboards, CRM tools, and records responsibly — maintaining accuracy, protecting data, and acting within their assigned permissions.
Messaging and community conduct
Keep messages, reviews, and community interactions respectful and on-topic. Harassment, spam, scams, and abusive behavior are not allowed.
Financial, commission, and payout records
Commission, payout, and financial records must be accurate and auditable. Do not falsify transactions, inflate performance, or manipulate payout logic.
Verification and KYC
Verification and KYC help keep the marketplace trustworthy. Provide genuine documents and information; falsified verification may lead to removal.
Prohibited marketplace activity
- Fraudulent, fake, or unauthorized listings and documents.
- Price manipulation, bait listings, or misleading promos.
- Misuse of buyer data, messaging, or application flows.
- Attempts to bypass fees, verification, or moderation.
Moderation and enforcement
AltusCars may warn, restrict, suspend, or remove content and accounts, and may preserve records, when needed to protect safety, compliance, quality, or fraud prevention.
Reporting concerns
If you see a listing, message, or account that violates this policy, report it so the team can review and act.
Policy changes
We may update this Platform Policy as the marketplace evolves. Significant changes will be posted on the platform.
